Maximize Your Success By Controlling Your Mind

As I mentioned before, having success with weight loss is about controlling your emotions. We over eat and eat the wrong things for so many reasons

  • Anxiety
  • Boredom
  • Stress
  • Worrying
  • Nerves

These are just a few and I know I made bad decisions for all of those reasons.

The problem is when you know what you’re supposed to do and you don’t do it or you know you’re not supposed to eat something but you do anyway. You say fuck it and shove a handful of chips or cookies in your face.

You lie to yourself and you let yourself off the hook. Ask me how I know……

You say’ “it’s ok, I was good yesterday, I tracked my macros and stayed within my limits.” What happened yesterday doesn’t matter, not even if you were bad yesterday.

You can only take yesterday’s mistake and make sure it doesn’t happen again or take yesterday’s win and use it for inspiration to do it again today. Because once you get a momentum going and your seeing progress, you’ll want to keep going.

But don’t be fooled by that. We all have those demons that want to derail our efforts. Those demons can succeed if you don’t know how to deal with them.

Just look at all the people who made such great progress only to go back to old habits and undo all that hard work faster than you could ever imagine possible.

You have to start with being aware of what and why your doing something. Once you identify that then you can address the causes and deal with them.

Pay attention to what you’re doing and start making small changes. Those small changes add up and result in good habits. Now go get started.
